Dear Parents,

Hopefully, today says good-by to the cold wet winter and hello to consistently bright sunny spring weather.
Parents of the second graders making first communion this year will have a meeting tonight at 6:30 in the cafeteria. It shouldn’t be long, but it is important. You may bring your darling if need be.
Thursday night there will be a meeting for those who will generously help in any way with the Oktoberfest in September of next school year. We will meet at 6:30 in the cafeteria.
Spring break begins at noon this Friday. There will be no after care. We ask your prayers for Mrs. Jodi’s daughter who is very ill. Mrs. Jodi is out this week taking good care of her daughter, Jessie.
The Stations of the Cross will be presented by the 4th grade at 11:15 this Friday. Each class has done a very creative and prayerful presentation of the Stations.
It is hard to believe, but this Friday is the end of the third quarter of the year. Our last quarter begins after spring break. You know how fast that goes!
Have a great week. Remind yourselves and your family how important prayer is in our lives. Pray as a family. Enjoy spring break.

Ms. Volker

ATTENTION CUP STACKERS!!!!

Moving faster than a locomotive the Knight Stackers “A” (Rex Rychlik, Kyle Wickens, Samantha Garcia, and Nikhil Madhav) placed second and fourth in two events at the WSSA Regional Sport Stacking Event held in Mesquite this past Saturday.

Participants came from many states - Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, Tennessee, Oklahoma, and New Mexico. More than 500 participants attended this competition.

Top five individuals from each individual competition advanced to the finals.  The top 10 individual’s names were displayed on a leader board.  Whereas none of our students were in the top five, we did have some listed on the leader board: Shyam Madhav, Kyle Wickens, Rex Rychlik, and Nikhil Madhav.  All of our students were competitive; our Knight Stackers that made it difficult for other contestants were Megan Dexter, Rachel Rychlik, Kade Meeks, Daniel Najera, Michael Najera, Kayla Canis, Hailey Kriska, and Connor Abay.

Our final competition will be held in Keller, Texas on March 27th.  GO KNIGHT STACKERS!!!

Words of Wisdom

If words remain words and sit quietly on the page, if they remain nouns and verbs and adjectives, then we are truly blind.  But if words seem to disappear and our innermost self begins to laugh and cry, to sing and dance and finally to fly...if we are transformed in all that we are, to a brand new world, then and only then can we read."
