Dear Parents, I thank all of you who came last Friday afternoon and/or Saturday morning to help improve the PreK front playground and rose garden in front of the office. It was a lot of good work. It not only made the little ones happy and safer, but it freshened up the whole front of the school. Thank You. I hope you are trying to sell your Dream Vacation tickets. This is our last fundraiser for this year. I do believe that one way or another all can do their part in helping it be successful. Volunteer hours are required. As I am greeting all the darlings in the morning at drop-off, I am noticing that some are doing some unaccepted parking, letting their darling out, and then trying to get out. Those who are carpooling are pulling in at the PFC and letting everyone out. That is great. They have several to let out. (tell your darlings to stay on the sidewalk). There is no need to park by the side door of the office to drop off. Stay in the line please. There seems to be a bottle neck getting onto Marvin after dropping off or picking up. It might help if some could turn right and go around instead of everyone waiting to go left. Congratulations to our St. Joseph's Catholic School Band and our director, Mr. Fink. Last Thursday the beginners and advanced band participated in competition at Sandy Lake. The beginners came back with a third place trophy and the advanced band brought back a second place trophy. We are very proud of them. It is that time of year that we are looking for new members for our Advisory Council. Members are on a rotation system of three years. Further information is in a flyer sent home today. I would like to ask anyone who might have suggestions for me or for the school as a whole to please feel free to write it down and send it to me after you sign it. Is there anyone who would like to do some painting in the school this summer? Have a great week, and remember to continue praying as a family. Ms. Volker
